The referee ignored GoyoFC's protests and gave Gustavo Chuan a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, GoyoFC's Gustavo Chuan got a free kick in the 8th minute. Aldo Incendio's late challenge caught a GoyoFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aldo Incendio helped the player get up and apologised. After 19 played minutes Timao CF got a freekick which was hit by Aldo Incendio. Gustavo Chuan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 23rd match minute, Timao CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfonso Rios to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the GoyoFC defense, Elvio Cruz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Niceto Vellito. The GoyoFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Niceto Vellito should have stopped the shot. 46 minutes into the match, Timao CF's goal looked a bit too open when Amadeo Cuarto came free, but Paolo Ordono reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Amadeo Cuarto was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Timao CF's Aldo Incendio got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After 56 played minutes Timao CF got a freekick which was hit by Silvano Corderall. The supporters of GoyoFC booed when Timao CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aldo Incendio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 61 played minutes, GoyoFC's Rodrigo Nofre shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Paolo Ordono came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in GoyoFC reached it. Aldo Incendio kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Niceto Vellito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cipriano Uhin, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Timao CF's goal looked a bit too open when Amadeo Cuarto came free, but Paolo Ordono reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustavo Chuan in the 75th minute of play forced Timao CF's goalkeeper Paolo Ordono to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Niceto Vellito made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Elvio Cruz sent off a good shot on target. In the 79th minute Amadeo Cuarto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paolo Ordono saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Elvio Cruz came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Timao CF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elvio Cruz couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in GoyoFC's zone, Cipriano Uhin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Niceto Vellito came out of the goal and Cipriano Uhin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
