The referee gave TURFITO a penalty, 9 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Gogo Raulo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Maxibe's Lorenzo Selmo. 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ulises Ariando during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 17th match minute, TURFITO was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulises Ariando to maneuver through the defense. If Roque Errolan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 33 minutes into the match, Maxibe's goal looked a bit too open when Gaudencio Hartz came free, but Lorenzo Selmo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Roque Errolan came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Maxibe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roque Errolan couldn't finish the play. After 38 played minutes TURFITO got a freekick which was hit by Ruben Efraim. Juan Naelio, 38 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a rather tough play, TURFITO's Ruben Efraim got a free kick in the 40th minute. A hard shot 48 in the game by Benjamin Saturnin from a close distance when the talented Ricardo Cordara managed to make a qualified save. TURFITO's players were relieved. After the first half TURFITO were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Roque Errolan made a kick off. Ricardo Cordara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roque Errolan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maxibe's Benjamin Saturnin got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dario Gomesano struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Lorenzo Selmo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for TURFITO. Lorenzo Selmo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dario Gomesano in the 63rd minute of play. In the 68th minute, one of Maxibe:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Maxibe. Ricardo Cordara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gonzalo Havier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lorenzo Selmo made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Gaudencio Hartz sent off a good shot on target. In the 77th minute, Ruben Efraim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dario Gomesano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Lorenzo Selmo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maxibe's Lorenzo Selmo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Maxibe from getting a goal against them. 86 minutes into the game, Benjamin Saturnin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Ricardo Cordara was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gaudencio Hartz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
