Foolbolito FC's Gustavo Gaspard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Feliberto Artizar in the 13th minute of play. Marcelo Solustiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Ciro Gartxot tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Feliberto Artizar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alfonso Peli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Gaspard having to interfere. Feliberto Artizar struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Gustavo Gaspard didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Al Mualim FC. Alfonso Peli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ciro Gartxot was out of position in the 29 minute of play, and Marcelo Solustiano capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Marcelo Solustiano really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Aaron Itzaina kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Teodosio Tallia might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ciro Gartxot. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Teodosio Tallia ran back to his position shaking his head. Alfonso Peli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gustavo Gaspard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Feliberto Artizar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Al Mualim FC getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Alfonso Peli hit a great ball. Teodosio Tallia took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ciro Gartxot. Ciro Gartxot dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alfonso Peli stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ciro Gartxot stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcelo Solustiano's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. Ciro Gartxot made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodosio Tallia in the 66th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Alfonso Peli took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Gustavo Gaspard to make any attempt to save it. Alfonso Peli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustavo Gaspard having to interfere. In the 78thth minute of the game Alfonso Peli who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Foolbolito FC's Gustavo Gaspard was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 80th minute Alfonso Peli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gustavo Gaspard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Foolbolito FC's Teodosio Tallia got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Feliberto Artizar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 98 minutes into the game, Benicio Fraco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Foolbolito FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Al Mualim FC the free kick. The supporters of Al Mualim FC booed when Foolbolito FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benicio Fraco didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, Foolbolito FC could leave the field as winners, despite Al Mualim FC having more of the ball for most of the match.
