In the 10th minute Fabian Nikola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Donostia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Txindoki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Defensa y Justicia's Ambrosio Jurdan got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 19 minutes into the match, Gero FC's goal looked a bit too open when Danilo Onbera came free, but Dante Raebert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ambrosio Jurdan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Defensa y Justicia's Ambrosio Jurdan got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 30 minutes into the match, Gero FC's goal looked a bit too open when Danilo Onbera came free, but Dante Raebert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute, Danilo Onbera got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 45th minute Ambrosio Jurdan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Raebert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Jonathan Txindoki came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Gero FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonathan Txindoki couldn't finish the play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Danilo Onbera to make the kick off. Ambrosio Jurdan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 56th minute, Ambrosio Jurdan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Defensa y Justicia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Adrian Jordy's late challenge caught a Defensa y Justicia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adrian Jordy helped the player get up and apologised. After 61 played minutes Gero FC got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Jordy. In the 63rd minute, Ambrosio Jurdan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Ambrosio Jurdan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 66 minutes, Maximo Ongile mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gero FC and the Defensa y Justicia players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Gero FC's Maximo Ongile got a free kick in the 66th minute. If Jonathan Txindoki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 71st minute Fabian Nikola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Donostia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabian Nikola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Manuel Donostia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Nikola in the 75th minute of play forced Defensa y Justicia's goalkeeper Manuel Donostia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute Tomas Rios shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Donostia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 82nd minute, Danilo Onbera got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 84 minutes into the match, Gero FC's goalkeeper Dante Raebert had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ambrosio Jurdan. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Danilo Onbera managed to get in a good position for a shot. Defensa y Justicia's supporters rose to their feet, but Danilo Onbera was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dante Raebert breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dante Raebert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danilo Onbera, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. In the 94th minute, Defensa y Justicia's Danilo Onbera dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. Defensa y Justicia's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
