The goalkeeper, Dante Raebert, was totally fooled by Polvaredas's Felipe Bento, who 15 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After a defensive mix-up in Gero FC's zone, Artemio Quirze stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dante Raebert came out of the goal and Artemio Quirze tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Polvaredas booed when Gero FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Jordy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Victor Quintin who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Dante Raebert when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Victor Quintin's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 23rdth minute, Dante Raebert skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Victor Quintin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dante Raebert read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Polvaredas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gero FC the free kick. The goalkeeper, Emiliano Bertol, was totally fooled by Gero FC's Orlando Senin, who 62 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Polvaredas's Benito Maura was substituted for Juan Iraunkor. After a defensive mix-up in Polvaredas's zone, Jonathan Txindoki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emiliano Bertol came out of the goal and Jonathan Txindoki tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Artemio Quirze managed to get in a good position for a shot. Polvaredas's supporters rose to their feet, but Artemio Quirze was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dante Raebert breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Guillermo Lamberto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Raebert having to interfere. If Victor Quintin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
