The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rodrigo Mouricio during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 35th match minute, Manchester United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodrigo Mouricio to maneuver through the defense. Honorio Eder came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Manchester United's Isaac Endira. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Simon Dimo was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to San Lorenzo de Almagro getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Siro Dolfos hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Manchester United defense, Simon Dimo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Yuri Hoffmann. The Manchester United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Yuri Hoffmann should have stopped the shot. Isaac Endira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
