After a rather tough play, Strobel's Cristo Cesario got a free kick in the 26th minute. Domingo Oinatz might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alejo Herensuge. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Domingo Oinatz ran back to his position shaking his head. Strobel's Alejo Herensuge played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domingo Oinatz in the 32nd minute of play. Damaso Salvator fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Germano Fontano having to interfere. Germano Fontano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Santiago Benino in the 40th minute. Germano Fontano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hector Acosta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hector Fertus in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Germano Fontano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Santiago Benino struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Germano Fontano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Strobel. Domingo Oinatz took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alejo Herensuge. Alejo Herensuge dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Strobel lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
