Iker Ayala tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 20 minutes into the game, Mario Cefero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barcelona FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Deportivo Español the free kick. In the 26th minute, Alonzo Enetz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Ramiro Quinten's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cecilio Lorenz was relentless in the 28th minute of the game. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ramiro Quinten stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes, Alonzo Enetz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Deportivo Español and the Barcelona FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Iker Ayala was a little too slow when Alberto Jurgi got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 55th minute. The score was now 0-2. Ramiro Quinten scored 1-2 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cecilio Lorenz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Barcelona FC's Ramiro Quinten got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Club Deportivo Español's Cecilio Lorenz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudio Mambru in the 70th minute of play. When Amadeo Ado came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Barcelona FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amadeo Ado couldn't finish the play. If Amadeo Ado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cecilio Lorenz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramiro Quinten in the 81st minute of play. Ramiro Quinten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The Club Deportivo Español fans' excitement grew in the 86th match minute when Club Deportivo Español's David Matteo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Barcelona FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when David Matteo 92 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-4. Club Deportivo Español's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
