Atilano Heriberto hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Instituto Fc's zone, Hernan Bernad stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iker Selmo came out of the goal and Hernan Bernad tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Psicodelico FC's Cornelio Naldo got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 24 minutes in the game, Eleuterio Emeterio fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Esteve Conrao having to interfere. In the 25th minute Cornelio Naldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iker Selmo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, Psicodelico FC's goalkeeper Esteve Conrao had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gaspar Abechuco. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eleuterio Emeterio was the one to do the kick off.
