The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of ※Patolaus Football Club※ booed when Instituto Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anastasio Rainerio didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Gaspar Abechuco came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Instituto Fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaspar Abechuco couldn't finish the play. Gaudencio Ramond recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Instituto Fc's Iker Selmo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaudencio Ramond in the 14th minute of play. ※Patolaus Football Club※'s Placido Matxin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save ※Patolaus Football Club※ from getting a goal against them. Anastasio Rainerio kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Serafino Goyo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Iker Selmo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaudencio Ramond in the 30th minute of play forced Instituto Fc's goalkeeper Iker Selmo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iker Selmo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaudencio Ramond, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gaudencio Ramond in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Iker Selmo saved Instituto Fc from getting behind. Placido Matxin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eleuterio Emeterio in the 47th minute of the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gaudencio Ramond was the one to do the kick off. Iker Selmo made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Serafino Goyo sent off a good shot on target. In the 54th minute Gaudencio Ramond shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iker Selmo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Gaudencio Ramond had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gaudencio Ramond fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iker Selmo having to interfere. Iker Selmo made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Serafino Goyo sent off a good shot on target. If Serafino Goyo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 69 minutes, Gaspar Abechuco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Instituto Fc and the ※Patolaus Football Club※ players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 69th match minute, Instituto Fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaspar Abechuco to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaudencio Ramond in the 80th minute of play forced Instituto Fc's goalkeeper Iker Selmo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
