Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Adan Valiente took the kick off in the first half of the match. Calderón AFC's Jose Bermund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adan Valiente in the 3rd minute of play. 5 minutes into the match, Adan Valiente notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Calderón AFC's Jose Bermund. Jose Bermund was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Adan Valiente's late challenge caught a Calderón AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adan Valiente helped the player get up and apologised. After 13 played minutes Vicente Engonga got a freekick which was hit by Adan Valiente. Urbano Maidana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Rosendo Menendo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Urbano Maidana kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. After 30 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Vicente Engonga! If Maximiliano Arias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Calderón AFC booed when Vicente Engonga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Beltran didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maximiliano Arias struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Rosendo Menendo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Calderón AFC. After the first half Vicente Engonga were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When Tomás Felipo fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vicente Engonga's protests and gave Tomás Felipo a yellow card for diving instead. After 54 played minutes Vicente Engonga got a freekick which was hit by Tomás Felipo. Maximiliano Arias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rosendo Menendo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Arias in the 61st minute of play. Rosendo Menendo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgilio Gaufred in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 67th minute, Esteban Gaskon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 68 played minutes Vicente Engonga got a freekick which was hit by Jeremias Izotz. Maximiliano Arias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Vicente Engonga getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Ruperto Frasco hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Urbano Maidana managed to get in a good position for a shot. Calderón AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Urbano Maidana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rosendo Menendo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximiliano Arias in the 84th minute of play forced Vicente Engonga's goalkeeper Rosendo Menendo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle went the supporters of Vicente Engonga were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Calderón AFC side.
