But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hernan Caetano couldn't finish the play. Hernan Caetano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Joel Afonso made a huge save. When Fabian Fraco came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Mussi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabian Fraco couldn't finish the play. In the 30th minute there was a penalty for Mussi. Feliciano Oliverios stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Vinicio Quin. 0-2. Ubaldo Joanes charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ubaldo Joanes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 34 played minutes Mussi got a freekick which was hit by Ubaldo Joanes. After a rather tough play, Mussi's Angelo Ralondo got a free kick in the 36th minute. 37 minutes into the match, Deportivo Macadam's Apolo Nuxila broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Hernan Caetano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Hernan Caetano made the kick off in the second half. Mussi's Joel Afonso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hernan Caetano in the 63rd minute of play. If Fabian Fraco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hernan Caetano struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Joel Afonso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deportivo Macadam. Vinicio Quin made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Emiliano Virila sent off a good shot on target. Vinicio Quin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emiliano Virila in the 78th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Mussi's zone, Hernan Caetano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joel Afonso came out of the goal and Hernan Caetano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee ignored Deportivo Macadam's protests and gave Alejo Eguen a yellow card for diving instead. In the 85th minute, Alejo Eguen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Deportivo Macadam's zone, Fabian Fraco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vinicio Quin came out of the goal and Fabian Fraco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Emiliano Virila managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mussi's supporters rose to their feet, but Emiliano Virila was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vinicio Quin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Mussi supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mussi would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
