Martin Iliana succeeded in the game's 48th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 6-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 6-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Martin Iliana made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Sotelo's Ricardo Dei got a free kick in the 53rd minute. In the 56th minute Carmelo Etxatxu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dionisio Isadore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Buenos Aires Sur's goalkeeper Jaime Cordeiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 61st match minute, Buenos Aires Sur was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ermegildo Ilixo to maneuver through the defense. If Martin Iliana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 69 minutes into the game, Ciro Unax cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Jaime Cordeiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Buenos Aires Sur booed when Sotelo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mariano Argenis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dionisio Isadore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carmelo Etxatxu in the 74th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ciro Unax in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jaime Cordeiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ignacio Medardo charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ignacio Medardo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Buenos Aires Sur's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. In the 91st minute Martin Iliana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaime Cordeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sotelo walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
