After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Guaberto Checa managed to get in a good position for a shot. capocha's supporters rose to their feet, but Guaberto Checa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jesus Pinto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. capocha's Tobias Bizi got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Maximo Deunoro kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Jesus Pinto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tobias Bizi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Deportivo Merlo booed when capocha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliseo Eguen didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Tobias Bizi came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the capocha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tobias Bizi couldn't finish the play. In the 23rd minute, Tobias Bizi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jesus Pinto was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Tobias Bizi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Jesus Pinto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jesus Pinto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Martin Innocenzio went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tobias Bizi in the 40th minute of play forced Deportivo Merlo's goalkeeper Jesus Pinto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tobias Bizi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jesus Pinto having to interfere. When Tobias Bizi came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the capocha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tobias Bizi couldn't finish the play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pastor Cesaro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cayetano Marquez hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. capocha's Santiago Damario played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teobaldo Beat in the 54th minute of play. In the 54th minute Teobaldo Beat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santiago Damario saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jesus Pinto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tobias Bizi in the 58th minute. capocha's Cayetano Marquez got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Santiago Damario showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Bartoli, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Tobias Bizi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Deportivo Merlo's Jesus Pinto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Deportivo Merlo from getting a goal against them. Jesus Pinto made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Tobias Bizi sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 86 minutes, Cayetano Marquez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. capocha's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cayetano Marquez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Deportivo Merlo's Jesus Pinto got control of the ball when Tobias Bizi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tobias Bizi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jesus Pinto having to interfere. In the 97th minute, Tobias Bizi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The capocha fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. capocha played a much better game than Deportivo Merlo and deserved their victory. The Deportivo Merlo players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
