After 45 played minutes, Unión y Amistad's Aurelio Socorro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marco Txanton came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Unión y Amistad reached it. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Genaro Marcones stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The C.A.Temperley fans' excitement grew in the 52nd match minute when C.A.Temperley's Genaro Marcones looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Maximiliano Berart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Perfecto having to interfere.
