A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Octavio Maju in the 12th minute of play forced Kiwok KFC's goalkeeper Isidro Viviano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Octavio Maju had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ermegildo Jerano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leo Garikoitz in the 26th minute of the match. Kiwok KFC's Joel Bertin got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Joel Bertin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jorge Ruy's late challenge caught a Kiwok KFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jorge Ruy helped the player get up and apologised. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leo Garikoitz to strike the kick off in the second half. Leo Garikoitz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ermegildo Jerano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Octavio Maju managed to get in a good position for a shot. Drogones FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Octavio Maju was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Isidro Viviano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 61 played minutes Drogones FC got a freekick which was hit by Zeledon Peyo. In the 63rd minute of the match Justo Xabat sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ermegildo Jerano skillfully saved the ball. Joel Bertin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ermegildo Jerano having to interfere. In the 73rd minute, Jaime Lucero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Drogones FC's zone, Leo Garikoitz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ermegildo Jerano came out of the goal and Leo Garikoitz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 86th minute Octavio Maju shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isidro Viviano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th minute, Joel Bertin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 89 played minutes Drogones FC got a freekick which was hit by Fabio Tavio. The Kiwok KFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Kiwok KFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
