The audience thought a goal was coming when Esteban Tximitx got free with Efrain Cefero in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Luisito Elivareo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, C A San Miguel's Rene Osoitz got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 16th minute, Leonardo Loramendi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
