Ermegildo Jerano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 19th minute Eustaquio Iliana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ermegildo Jerano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Drogones FC's goal looked a bit too open when Serafin Erdiano came free, but Ermegildo Jerano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jorge Ruy charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jorge Ruy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Cuervada FC booed when Drogones FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Ruy didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 24th minute, Jaime Lucero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 25th minute of the match Nemesio Feliu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ermegildo Jerano skillfully saved the ball. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Jaime Lucero took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Fidel Montrel to make any attempt to save it. After having played for 37 minutes, Octavio Maju managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Drogones FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Octavio Maju was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Serafin Erdiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eustaquio Iliana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Ermegildo Jerano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ermegildo Jerano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serafin Erdiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Drogones FC's Jorge Ruy got a free kick in the 47th minute. In the 49th minute, Eustaquio Iliana made a precise shot to the right of Ermegildo Jerano. Drogones FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2.

Eustaquio Iliana could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Ermegildo Jerano made a huge save. In the 58th minute of the match Zeledon Peyo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fidel Montrel skillfully saved the ball. Ermegildo Jerano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eustaquio Iliana in the 61st minute. Eustaquio Iliana recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Drogones FC's Fabio Tavio got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Jaime Lucero's late challenge caught a Cuervada FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jaime Lucero helped the player get up and apologised. Jaime Lucero kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Roque Kauldi kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. After 83 played minutes, Drogones FC's Filomeno Sancho shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fidel Montrel came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Drogones FC reached it. In the 89th minute Celedonio Medardo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fidel Montrel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute of the match, Eustaquio Iliana got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ermegildo Jerano was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Eustaquio Iliana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Ermegildo Jerano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
