But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Godfredo Lehior couldn't finish the play. 46 minutes into the game, Justo Gaitan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cobo S.A.B.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Viola de Betito the free kick. Teodosio Gervaso had in the 47thth minute some difficulties stopping Teodosio Mosen's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

In the 52nd minute, one of Cobo S.A.B.C.:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cobo S.A.B.C.. The referee gave La Viola de Betito a penalty, 54 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Teodosio Mosen, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Cobo S.A.B.C.'s Teodosio Gervaso. 3-1. Juan Luke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Godfredo Lehior fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eloy Froylan having to interfere.
