V.D.Parque's Ernesto Ramone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aquiles Giraldo in the 12th minute of play. Miguel Romelio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Ramone having to interfere. In the 45th minute Aquiles Giraldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Ramone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aquiles Giraldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Ramone having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

V.D.Parque's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Niupi FC the free kick. After 51 played minutes V.D.Parque got a freekick which was hit by Celedonio Fiz. Benicio Harri was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 54 minutes into the match. After 55 played minutes Niupi FC got a freekick which was hit by Benicio Harri. 56 minutes into the match, Niupi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Ospin came free, but Gregorio Louis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lino Gartzen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Gregorio Louis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aquiles Giraldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Ramone having to interfere. Ernesto Ramone stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Blas Erramu's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. Aquiles Giraldo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aquiles Giraldo got free with Ernesto Ramone in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, V.D.Parque's Ernesto Ramone got control of the ball when Blas Erramu tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a little luck, V.D.Parque's Ernesto Ramone got control of the ball when Aquiles Giraldo tried to sneak it across the goal line. The throw-in from Tiburcio Fidele in the 94th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Niupi FC's Blas Erramu. In the 96th minute, Patricio Stephen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Niupi FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
