With a couple of smart ball manuevers Faustino Estefan in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Melquiades Cugat saved Chapuy from getting behind. Rigoberto Conrao recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 60thth minute of the game Faustino Estefan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chapuy's Melquiades Cugat was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Faustino Estefan might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Melquiades Cugat. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Faustino Estefan ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Chapuy's Bernardo Gudesteo got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Faustino Estefan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Melquiades Cugat having to make a save. If Rigoberto Conrao had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute.
