After a defensive mix-up in Columbus's zone, Ruben Venceslas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baldomero Benvido came out of the goal and Ruben Venceslas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Agustin Rosario hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Columbus's Baldomero Benvido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aquiles Pero in the 27th minute of play. A collision led to Columbus getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Filomeno Karlo hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aquiles Pero in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Baldomero Benvido saved Columbus from getting behind. Federico Fernanco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Damaso Lando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cipriano Artal was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 33 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute, one of Columbus:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Columbus. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Federico Fernanco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Columbus's supporters rose to their feet, but Federico Fernanco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Damaso Lando breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luciano Fidencio struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Damaso Lando didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Columbus. After 46 played minutes Columbus got a freekick which was hit by Filomeno Karlo. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

In the 51st minute Aquiles Pero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baldomero Benvido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andres Errapel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luciano Fidencio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damaso Lando having to interfere. LA CARPULE's Damaso Lando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Federico Fernanco in the 75th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Federico Fernanco in the 77th minute of play forced LA CARPULE's goalkeeper Damaso Lando to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Federico Fernanco in the 80th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Damaso Lando saved LA CARPULE from getting behind. A collision led to LA CARPULE getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Aquiles Pero hit a great ball. After 93 played minutes Columbus got a freekick which was hit by Celedonio Romero. When the referee ended the match the Columbus players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
