The referee ignored Menconi FC's protests and gave Cristo Guzman a yellow card for diving instead. In the 3rd minute, Cristo Guzman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 8 minutes into the match, Rotwein FC's goal looked a bit too open when Amancio Quirce came free, but Delmiro Sidro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Delmiro Sidro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeronimo Escobar, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. If Amancio Quirce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amancio Quirce couldn't finish the play. If Felipe Cefero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Menconi FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
