The referee felt a red card was in order, 14 minutes into the game, when Isidro Esquipula put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 14th minute of the game. One of Rotwein FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Lonquimay:s goal. The corner ended in Nereo Gartxot almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Lonquimay's Lino Cordarell did a great save. Lino Cordarell made an important save on a dangerous shot by Amado Sotil in the 27th minute. 30 minutes into the match, Rotwein FC's goal looked a bit too open when Adan Rami came free, but Delmiro Sidro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
