Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Menconi FC's Amancio Quirce got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 31 minutes into the match, Timoteo Feliz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcelino Mincho. Menconi FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Timoteo Feliz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Felipe Cefero in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amancio Richie prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edgardo Eguerdi struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Marcelino Mincho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Icaño FC. Amancio Richie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amancio Quirce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amancio Richie showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moises Petri, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Jeronimo Escobar replaced Moises Petri. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amancio Quirce in the 74th managed to get into a good position. Amancio Quirce was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 76th minute. Menconi FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Bruno Urdaspal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 81st minute, Bruno Urdaspal fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Amancio Richie, passed just outside the right post. After 82 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Icaño FC! In the 83rd minute there was a penalty for Menconi FC. Cristo Guzman stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Amancio Richie. 2-2. Jeronimo Escobar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
