Bruno Urdaspal scored 0-2 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Samuel Lugo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Amancio Quirce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Samuel Lugo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amancio Quirce in the 25th minute of the match. If Bruno Urdaspal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Giuseppe Garibaldi booed when Menconi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeronimo Escobar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Samuel Lugo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amancio Quirce in the 32nd minute of play. Jeremias Mannie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelino Mincho having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Jeronimo Escobar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Javier Calisto struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Marcelino Mincho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Giuseppe Garibaldi. 45 minutes into the game, Arnaldo Ishmael was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Giuseppe Garibaldi's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Menconi FC the free kick. After 45 played minutes Giuseppe Garibaldi got a freekick which was hit by Arnaldo Ishmael. Samuel Lugo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruno Urdaspal in the 46th minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Amancio Quirce stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bruno Urdaspal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Samuel Lugo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Menconi FC's Jeronimo Escobar got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 62nd minute of the match, Amancio Quirce tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Samuel Lugo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 66th minute, Godfredo Esquipula hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Samuel Lugo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauricio Gai in the 67th minute of play. In the 68th minute, Eusebio Barros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amancio Quirce might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Samuel Lugo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Amancio Quirce ran back to his position shaking his head. Amancio Quirce sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Menconi FC's Amancio Quirce in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amancio Quirce in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Samuel Lugo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 89 minutes, Amancio Quirce managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Menconi FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amancio Quirce was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Giuseppe Garibaldi's Samuel Lugo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Urdaspal in the 92nd minute of play. Guaberto Jakue blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcelino Mincho having to make a save. 96 minutes into the match, Menconi FC's Amancio Quirce sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Samuel Lugo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Menconi FC played a much better game than Giuseppe Garibaldi and deserved their victory. The Giuseppe Garibaldi players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
