Lino Cordarell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freddy Egoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 2nd minute. In the 8th minute Serafino Charro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliseo Rainerio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Serafino Charro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliseo Rainerio having to interfere. Lino Cordarell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Freddy Egoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the match, Gimnasia y Facón - L. P.'s goal looked a bit too open when Adan Rami came free, but Eliseo Rainerio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lino Cordarell was out of position in the 18 minute of play, and Jaime Arnau capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jaime Arnau really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After 23 minutes, Froilan Lugo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lonquimay and the Gimnasia y Facón - L. P. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Lonquimay's Froilan Lugo got a free kick in the 23rd minute. 28 minutes into the match, Gimnasia y Facón - L. P.'s goal looked a bit too open when Serafino Charro came free, but Eliseo Rainerio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Serafino Charro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eliseo Rainerio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. If Freddy Egoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 42 minutes into the match, Gimnasia y Facón - L. P.'s goal looked a bit too open when Adan Rami came free, but Eliseo Rainerio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Serafino Charro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jose Raymon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

After 53 minutes, Ruben Abel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gimnasia y Facón - L. P. and the Lonquimay players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ruben Abel hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. The long shot by Delmiro Betadur in the 54th minute really tested Eliseo Rainerio's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Gimnasia y Facón - L. P.'s Eliseo Rainerio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Gimnasia y Facón - L. P. from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adan Rami got free with Eliseo Rainerio in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Lonquimay's Serafino Charro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Eliseo Rainerio. That made the score 1-1 after 60 minutes of play. Anacleto Baraquiel kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Zeledon Buinton took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 64th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Eliseo Rainerio. Gimnasia y Facón - L. P.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Adan Rami managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lonquimay's supporters rose to their feet, but Adan Rami was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eliseo Rainerio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eliseo Rainerio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Serafino Charro in the 75th minute of the match. Freddy Egoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lino Cordarell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jaime Arnau, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Fernando Donostia kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. After 85 played minutes, Gimnasia y Facón - L. P.'s Teo Abreu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lino Cordarell came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gimnasia y Facón - L. P. reached it. 86 minutes into the match, Gimnasia y Facón - L. P.'s goalkeeper Eliseo Rainerio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Serafino Charro. Delmiro Betadur might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eliseo Rainerio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Delmiro Betadur ran back to his position shaking his head. Gimnasia y Facón - L. P.'s Eliseo Rainerio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serafino Charro in the 89th minute of play. The supporters of Gimnasia y Facón - L. P. booed when Lonquimay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Delmiro Betadur didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jaime Arnau received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Lino Cordarell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Froilan Lugo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
