Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Fulgencio Elequemedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Serrezuela's Fulgencio Elequemedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victorio Dei in the 10th minute of play. After 12 minutes, Guillermo Javiar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Serrezuela and the Curacó AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Curacó AFC booed when Serrezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Javiar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fulgencio Elequemedo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mateo Tulio went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 18 minutes into the match, Serrezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Mateo Tulio came free, but Fulgencio Elequemedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Moises Paublo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Esteban Iliana having to interfere. Curacó AFC's Victorio Dei got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eloy Fero's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 34thth minute, Esteban Iliana skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 40th minute, Victorio Dei ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fulgencio Elequemedo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Serrezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maximino Harriet was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Serrezuela were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Curacó AFC for a fine match.
