With a couple of smart ball manuevers Romulo Nikola in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ubaldo Ospin saved Xr 250 from getting behind. 4 minutes into the game, Esteban Rivero was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Xr 250's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Patada Cubana the free kick. After having played for 8 minutes, Romulo Nikola managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Patada Cubana's supporters crossed their fingers, but Romulo Nikola was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 10th match minute, Xr 250 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evelio Vermudo to maneuver through the defense. Leonides Eutropio charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leonides Eutropio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 16 minutes into the game, one of Xr 250:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 18th minute there was a penalty for La Patada Cubana. Isidro Oso stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ubaldo Ospin. 0-1. If Romulo Nikola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hugo Selatse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Hugo Selatse took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Ciriaco Dei to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of La Patada Cubana booed when Xr 250 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Erroman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leonardo Sedeni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romulo Nikola in the 43rd minute of play forced Xr 250's goalkeeper Ubaldo Ospin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Romulo Nikola to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danilo Eutor in the 57th minute of play forced La Patada Cubana's goalkeeper Ciriaco Dei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ciriaco Dei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hugo Selatse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute Romulo Nikola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ubaldo Ospin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ciriaco Dei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danilo Eutor in the 63rd minute of the match. If Hugo Selatse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Danilo Eutor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Ciriaco Dei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Xr 250's Ubaldo Ospin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save Xr 250 from getting a goal against them. In the 89th minute, Hugo Selatse ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ciriaco Dei was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Xr 250's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
