The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristo Seme got free with Gaston Eguzki in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 20 minutes into the game, Ampallo's Silvano Cordarrel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Severino Cordairo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. If Nereo Ostadar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. After a defensive mix-up in FC LA MAQUINITA's zone, Isidoro Ongile stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Severino Cordairo came out of the goal and Isidoro Ongile tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Silvano Cordarrel took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Severino Cordairo. Severino Cordairo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. After having played for 47 minutes, Isidoro Ongile managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ampallo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Isidoro Ongile was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Isidoro Ongile in the 61st minute of play forced FC LA MAQUINITA's goalkeeper Severino Cordairo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
