Ramon Ireno took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 9th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Victorino Dorio. Indiana's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 17 minutes into the game, Isidro Oso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. La Patada Cubana's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Indiana the free kick. Zeledon Jerano took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ciriaco Dei. La Patada Cubana's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Leonardo Sedeni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Victorino Dorio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Javier Elijas short, quick shot in the 26thth minute got Ciriaco Dei to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 29th minute, Mario Dalmu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Indiana fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Amador Lizer struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Ciriaco Dei didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Indiana. If Romulo Nikola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 41 minutes into the game, Ubaldo Sandalio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Indiana's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La Patada Cubana the free kick. Ubaldo Sandalio kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Victorino Dorio came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by La Patada Cubana's Romulo Nikola. But to his dismay, Romulo Nikola quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Javier Elija to make the kick off. If Leonardo Sedeni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 55th minute, Leonardo Sedeni ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Victorino Dorio was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 60th minute Raimundo Manni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victorino Dorio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of La Patada Cubana booed when Indiana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amador Lizer didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Romulo Nikola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Javier Elija in the 75th minute of play forced La Patada Cubana's goalkeeper Ciriaco Dei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to La Patada Cubana getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Basilio Luke hit a great ball. Ciriaco Dei didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Javier Elija went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. If Mario Dalmu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Javier Elija's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ciriaco Dei read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. The supporters of Indiana booed when La Patada Cubana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramon Ireno didn't get a good kick on the ball. 86 minutes into the match, La Patada Cubana's goal looked a bit too open when Javier Elija came free, but Ciriaco Dei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Basilio Luke during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, La Patada Cubana's Basilio Luke got a free kick in the 91st minute. Romulo Nikola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victorino Dorio having to interfere. Despite being the better team, La Patada Cubana failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
