Ulises Munio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joel Valentine in the 8th minute. A collision led to Nacional y Popular getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Geronimo Medina hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Chipaite AFC's Delmar Ralondo tried to score from far away in the 16th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The supporters of Chipaite AFC booed when Nacional y Popular was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnoldo Louis didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arsenio Madaleno in the 18th minute of play forced Nacional y Popular's goalkeeper Ulises Munio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute Laureano Aztore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ulises Munio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nacional y Popular's Ulises Munio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Nacional y Popular from getting a goal against them. Joel Valentine hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. If Serafino Basualdo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Serafino Basualdo in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benigno Froylan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Serafino Basualdo in the 29th minute of play forced Chipaite AFC's goalkeeper Benigno Froylan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benigno Froylan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aristides Monico in the 30th minute of the match. Chipaite AFC's Benigno Froylan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aristides Monico in the 31st minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 33rd minute of the game. One of Chipaite AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Nacional y Popular:s goal. Elvio Selmo shot the penalty kick right outside the post. After 39 minutes, Higinio Umbruso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chipaite AFC and the Nacional y Popular players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Chipaite AFC's Higinio Umbruso got a free kick in the 39th minute. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Joel Valentine blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ulises Munio having to make a save. Joel Valentine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulises Munio having to interfere. A collision led to Nacional y Popular getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Pascual Uhin hit a great ball. After 61 played minutes Chipaite AFC got a freekick which was hit by Higinio Umbruso. Benigno Froylan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serafino Basualdo in the 66th minute of play. 68 minutes into the game, Serafino Basualdo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Benigno Froylan. Serafino Basualdo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. 77 minutes into the game, Chipaite AFC's Joel Valentine nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ulises Munio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. 81 minutes into the game, Serafino Basualdo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Benigno Froylan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Serafino Basualdo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Benigno Froylan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Serafino Basualdo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nacional y Popular's supporters rose to their feet, but Serafino Basualdo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benigno Froylan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice moves Aristides Monico could shoot a difficult shot in the 97th minute, which Benigno Froylan however easily saved by the left post. Nacional y Popular's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
