Ariel Gorri recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Orlando Bras recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Orlando Bras managed to get in a good position for a shot. Buenos Aires Bagdad's supporters rose to their feet, but Orlando Bras was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aldo Ekialde breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aldo Ekialde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ariel Gorri, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. After 22 played minutes Buenos Aires Bagdad got a freekick which was hit by Aureliano Argenis. After a defensive mix-up in Corrientes Fútbol Club's zone, Aureliano Argenis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aldo Ekialde came out of the goal and Aureliano Argenis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aureliano Argenis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Orlando Bras struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Aldo Ekialde didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Buenos Aires Bagdad. In the 35th minute Orlando Bras shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aldo Ekialde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Damaso Aurken's late challenge caught a Buenos Aires Bagdad's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Damaso Aurken helped the player get up and apologised. After 41 played minutes Corrientes Fútbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Damaso Aurken. Aldo Ekialde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aureliano Argenis in the 42nd minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gonzalo Savier was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute, Gonzalo Savier made a precise shot to the right of Luciano Goyo. Buenos Aires Bagdad's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 62nd minute, Salvador Ubendu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luciano Goyo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Jonas Salvatore got a throw-in 67 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Gilberto Rutenio. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nunez Peru in the 70th minute of play forced Buenos Aires Bagdad's goalkeeper Luciano Goyo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Buenos Aires Bagdad's goal looked a bit too open when Gonzalo Savier came free, but Luciano Goyo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The throw-in from Jonas Salvatore in the 77th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Buenos Aires Bagdad's Nicolas Bihar. 78 minutes into the game, Jonas Salvatore was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Corrientes Fútbol Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Buenos Aires Bagdad the free kick. A collision led to Corrientes Fútbol Club getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Jonas Salvatore hit a great ball. In the 81st minute Salvador Ubendu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luciano Goyo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Orlando Bras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aldo Ekialde came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Buenos Aires Bagdad's Orlando Bras. But to his dismay, Orlando Bras quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Corrientes Fútbol Club were victorious despite being under pressure from Buenos Aires Bagdad for much of the match.
