Flavio Ekaitz made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Serafino Basualdo sent off a good shot on target. When Marco Gizon was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 14 minutes had been played. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Serafino Basualdo in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Flavio Ekaitz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 20 minutes into the match, Nacional y Popular's goal looked a bit too open when Tiburcio Poz came free, but Ulises Munio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Flavio Ekaitz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serafino Basualdo in the 22nd minute of play. Arnoldo Louis hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. 28 minutes into the match, Nacional y Popular's goal looked a bit too open when Tiburcio Poz came free, but Ulises Munio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Nacional y Popular getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Pascual Uhin hit a great ball. Tiburcio Poz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Ulises Munio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 41st match minute, Corsarios FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Urbano Misael to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Aristides Monico managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nacional y Popular's supporters rose to their feet, but Aristides Monico was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Flavio Ekaitz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 44th minute Serafino Basualdo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Ekaitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ulises Munio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiburcio Poz in the 45th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Serafino Basualdo made the kick off in the second half. When Cristobal Cidro fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Corsarios FC's protests and gave Cristobal Cidro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 51st minute, Cristobal Cidro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Corsarios FC's zone, Serafino Basualdo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Flavio Ekaitz came out of the goal and Serafino Basualdo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 54 minutes into the game, Nacional y Popular's Serafino Basualdo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Flavio Ekaitz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Flavio Ekaitz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Serafino Basualdo's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. Corsarios FC's Flavio Ekaitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aristides Monico in the 62nd minute of play. In the 67th minute, Tiburcio Poz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Corsarios FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. When Nacional y Popular's Serafino Basualdo in 75 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Flavio Ekaitz guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Godfredo Paz hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. If Serafino Basualdo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Serafino Basualdo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Serafino Basualdo in the 86th minute of play forced Corsarios FC's goalkeeper Flavio Ekaitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th minute of the match Nacional y Popular got a corner. Corsarios FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Elvio Selmo ran over to the corner to take the kick. Flavio Ekaitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serafino Basualdo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Nacional y Popular's Serafino Basualdo in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
