Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Despeñaderos's Gaston Urdaspal started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gregorio Calisto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Salvador Ubendu, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. When Gaston Urdaspal came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Despeñaderos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaston Urdaspal couldn't finish the play. Arnaldo Ramirez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Denis Bidun hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Despeñaderos's Gaston Urdaspal got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Despeñaderos's Gaston Urdaspal slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Aldo Ekialde. That made the score 1-0 after 23 minutes of play. Arnaldo Ramirez struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Aldo Ekialde didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Despeñaderos. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Gaston Urdaspal took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Aldo Ekialde to make any attempt to save it.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gonzalo Savier stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Arnaldo Ramirez struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Aldo Ekialde didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Despeñaderos. Aldo Ekialde came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Despeñaderos's Gaston Urdaspal. But to his dismay, Gaston Urdaspal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Gaston Urdaspal scored 4-0 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aldo Ekialde, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Arnaldo Ramirez struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Aldo Ekialde didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Despeñaderos. Gaston Urdaspal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Aldo Ekialde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aldo Ekialde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnaldo Ramirez in the 71st minute of the match. In the 77th minute Gaston Urdaspal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aldo Ekialde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Arnaldo Ramirez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 88 minutes into the match, Despeñaderos's Arnaldo Ramirez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aldo Ekialde narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Aldo Ekialde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gaston Urdaspal, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Despeñaderos walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
