In the 8th match minute, Despeñaderos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaston Hug to maneuver through the defense. Amancio Palban made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnaldo Ramirez in the 10th minute of play. 19 minutes into the game, Arnaldo Ramirez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Despeñaderos's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Olfen Rica B.R. the free kick. A collision led to Despeñaderos getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Arnaldo Ramirez hit a great ball. Gaston Hug's late challenge caught a Olfen Rica B.R.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gaston Hug helped the player get up and apologised. Amancio Palban took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnaldo Ramirez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Olfen Rica B.R.'s Amancio Palban played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnaldo Ramirez in the 30th minute of play. Amancio Palban made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnaldo Ramirez in the 45th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gaston Urdaspal was the one to do the kick off. Robustiano Primo struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Gregorio Calisto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Olfen Rica B.R.. Dante Egoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregorio Calisto having to interfere. In the 57th minute Dante Egoi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregorio Calisto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Despeñaderos's Gaston Urdaspal pulled a muscle in his back after 64 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Esteve Lesardo's late challenge caught a Despeñaderos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Esteve Lesardo helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Despeñaderos booed when Olfen Rica B.R. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esteve Lesardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dante Egoi in the 68th minute of play forced Despeñaderos's goalkeeper Gregorio Calisto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olfen Rica B.R.'s Amancio Palban proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Olfen Rica B.R. from getting a goal against them. Olfen Rica B.R.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ismael Lohitzun in the 75th minute. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Esteve Lesardo got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 1-0. 75 minutes into the match. In the 80th minute Robustiano Primo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregorio Calisto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ismael Lohitzun kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Fabricio Haritz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 86 minutes into the match, Despeñaderos's goal looked a bit too open when Dante Egoi came free, but Gregorio Calisto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 89 played minutes Olfen Rica B.R. got a freekick which was hit by Dante Egoi. Amancio Palban made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabricio Haritz in the 91st minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Denis Bidun kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Amancio Palban. That made the score 1-1 in the 93 minute of play. Olfen Rica B.R. succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Despeñaderos had controlled the match.
