The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tobias Sotero showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Jesus Fagondo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Lázaro Llope made a huge save. In the 15th minute, Jesus Fagondo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mallín FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. A collision led to Mallín FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Astor Telo hit a great ball. Tobias Sotero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cipriano Franco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Prospero Belmiro fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Salto AFC's protests and gave Prospero Belmiro a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Salto AFC's Prospero Belmiro got a free kick in the 24th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alvaro Guerau during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Albino Berenguer was the one to do the kick off. Albino Berenguer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Lázaro Llope tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Rolando Errapel came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Salto AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rolando Errapel couldn't finish the play. In the 68th minute, Cipriano Franco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tobias Sotero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cipriano Franco, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Astor Telo kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. If Cipriano Franco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lázaro Llope showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jesus Fagondo, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Roberto Patxi kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albino Berenguer in the 86th minute of play forced Salto AFC's goalkeeper Lázaro Llope to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
