The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpected shot in the 5th minute by Evelio Monte got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After a rather tough play, Menos Patada Que Una Pila's Froilan Goyo got a free kick in the 6th minute. A hard shot by Pedro Tavio from long distance, 8 minutes into the match, got Maximino Ourente's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 10th minute Anacleto Ihintza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santos Pueblo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aquiles Servando's late challenge caught a Menos Patada Que Una Pila's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aquiles Servando helped the player get up and apologised. In the 11th match minute, La mujineta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aquiles Servando to maneuver through the defense. Esteban Lesardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Santos Pueblo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 20 minutes, Esteban Lesardo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Menos Patada Que Una Pila and the La mujineta players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 20 played minutes Menos Patada Que Una Pila got a freekick which was hit by Esteban Lesardo. After a defensive mix-up in Menos Patada Que Una Pila's zone, Evelio Monte stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maximino Ourente came out of the goal and Evelio Monte tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 40 minutes into the match, Menos Patada Que Una Pila's goal looked a bit too open when Evelio Monte came free, but Maximino Ourente reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aquiles Servando received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Maximino Ourente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedro Tavio hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Esteban Lesardo struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Santos Pueblo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Menos Patada Que Una Pila. Aquiles Servando kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Evelio Monte stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes Menos Patada Que Una Pila got a freekick which was hit by Esteban Lesardo. Nunez Iraido received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Santos Pueblo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evelio Monte in the 57th minute of play forced Menos Patada Que Una Pila's goalkeeper Maximino Ourente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maximino Ourente stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Evelio Monte's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. When Aquiles Servando came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the La mujineta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aquiles Servando couldn't finish the play. Evelio Monte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximino Ourente having to interfere. When the match clock showed 69 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Evelio Monte sped through Menos Patada Que Una Pila's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Maximino Ourente. Efrain Baladi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Maximino Ourente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Evelio Monte in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maximino Ourente saved Menos Patada Que Una Pila from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Menos Patada Que Una Pila's zone, Evelio Monte stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maximino Ourente came out of the goal and Evelio Monte tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 95th minute, Filomeno Asier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. La mujineta had played much better football throughout.
