An unexpectedly hard shot by Albino Berenguer in the 7th minute of play forced Chuchiras's goalkeeper Nicanor Urbes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute Jesus Fagondo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicanor Urbes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Casimiro Dabi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Casimiro Argina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tobias Sotero having to interfere. A collision led to Mallín FC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Ivan Hever hit a great ball. If Albino Berenguer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Chuchiras defense, Albino Berenguer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nicanor Urbes. The Chuchiras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nicanor Urbes should have stopped the shot. Chuchiras's Nicanor Urbes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albino Berenguer in the 37th minute of play. After 41 played minutes Mallín FC got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Lawrence. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mallín FC's goalkeeper Tobias Sotero, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After the first half Mallín FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Albino Berenguer to make the kick off. Casimiro Argina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
