Abel Gaspard started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the match, River Plate's goal looked a bit too open when Damian Deunoro came free, but Valentin Chesus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ciro Cresenciano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Segundo Licerio, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. If Damian Deunoro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 12 minutes, Valentin Chesus successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Cayetano Osmundo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Valentin Chesus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to River Plate getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Aristides Llin hit a great ball. In the 21st minute, Segundo Licerio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Damian Deunoro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Valentin Chesus came out and tried to block the shot, but Damian Deunoro slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 25th minute.

The wind increased when Damian Deunoro made the kick off in the second half. Aristides Llin took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ciro Cresenciano. Ciro Cresenciano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Primitivo Tartalo kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. If Damian Deunoro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. River Plate's Valentin Chesus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damian Deunoro in the 63rd minute of play. After 63 played minutes River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Aristides Llin. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cayetano Osmundo in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Valentin Chesus saved River Plate from getting behind. The supporters of Independiente booed when River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erasmo Kinsen didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Cayetano Osmundo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Independiente's Ciro Cresenciano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Independiente from getting a goal against them. With an all-out effort, River Plate's Ciro Cresenciano threw himself towards the right post 79 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Abel Gaspard, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 80th minute Damian Deunoro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentin Chesus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. River Plate's Valentin Chesus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cayetano Osmundo in the 82nd minute of play. Segundo Licerio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Ciro Cresenciano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When River Plate's Abel Gaspard in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Independiente's goalie prevented a goal. Segundo Licerio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
