Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 141) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Damian Deunoro started the match with the kick off. Aureliano Gutierrez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Damian Deunoro in the 5th minute of the match. Cayetano Osmundo took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aureliano Gutierrez. Aureliano Gutierrez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Ernesto Vimaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Ciro Cresenciano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 21 minutes, Damian Deunoro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Independiente's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damian Deunoro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Cayetano Osmundo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aureliano Gutierrez was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. When Fernando Bertol came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Cervantes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernando Bertol couldn't finish the play. Ernesto Vimaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciro Cresenciano having to interfere. Cervantes's Aureliano Gutierrez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damian Deunoro in the 35th minute of play. Cayetano Osmundo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Aureliano Gutierrez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcial Mino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Ciro Cresenciano made a huge save.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ernesto Vimaro made a kick off. After some careless play in the Cervantes defense, Cayetano Osmundo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aureliano Gutierrez. The Cervantes fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aureliano Gutierrez should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Independiente getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Eduardo George hit a great ball. Cayetano Osmundo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Aureliano Gutierrez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 60 played minutes Damian Deunoro rounded Cervantes's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-4. After 63 played minutes Cervantes got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Bertol. 63 minutes into the game, Damian Deunoro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Aureliano Gutierrez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Aureliano Gutierrez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Santio in the 74th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fernando Bertol during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Cervantes getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Fernando Bertol hit a great ball. When Independiente's Damian Deunoro in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cervantes's goalie prevented a goal. Aureliano Gutierrez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Damian Deunoro in the 79th minute of play. Cayetano Osmundo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cervantes's Bartolo Teyo got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Cervantes's zone, Damian Deunoro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aureliano Gutierrez came out of the goal and Damian Deunoro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Damian Deunoro came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Independiente fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damian Deunoro couldn't finish the play. The Cervantes supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Independiente's performance. The match ended with a win for Independiente.
