In the 15th minute, Eduardo Honesto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Amancio Marcones struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Danilo Odilon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for San FC. In the 21st minute, Leonel Nisio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Danilo Odilon was a little too slow when Arnaldo Rocio got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 22nd minute. The score was now 1-0. But to his dismay, Eduardo Honesto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Danilo Odilon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodolfo Favila, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leonel Froylan kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Arnaldo Rocio had several of the Fortineros's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 47 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-0 score and a disappointed Danilo Odilon as he didn't even see the shot coming. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Severo Jurgi was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Severo Jurgi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fortineros's supporters rose to their feet, but Severo Jurgi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roque Adrio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 57 minutes into the game, San FC's Arnaldo Rocio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Danilo Odilon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnaldo Rocio in the 63rd minute of play forced Fortineros's goalkeeper Danilo Odilon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rodolfo Favila's late challenge caught a Fortineros's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rodolfo Favila helped the player get up and apologised. In the 65th match minute, San FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodolfo Favila to maneuver through the defense. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 92 minutes into the match, San FC's goalkeeper Roque Adrio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leonel Nisio. Eduardo Honesto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th match minute, Fortineros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paolo Abeitia to maneuver through the defense. Fortineros's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
