Spectators: 6669 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1669, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Abel Gaspard started the match with the kick off. Jose Elazar took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 4th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Danilo Odilon. Fortineros's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Danilo Odilon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Segundo Licerio in the 10th minute of play. Valentin Chesus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severo Jurgi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Severo Jurgi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valentin Chesus was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. After a rather tough play, River Plate's Angel Jordy got a free kick in the 24th minute. Valentin Chesus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severo Jurgi in the 27th minute of the match. Rogelio Llope kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. After 32 minutes of play, River Plate's Abel Gaspard made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Danilo Odilon was left in no man's land by his defense there! 35 minutes into the game, Aristides Llin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. River Plate's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fortineros the free kick. A collision led to River Plate getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Aristides Llin hit a great ball. Fortineros's Hilario Asteri shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 36th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Valentin Chesus but with some difficulty. Abel Gaspard took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Danilo Odilon. Danilo Odilon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Severo Jurgi to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice moves Segundo Licerio could shoot a difficult shot in the 54th minute, which Danilo Odilon however easily saved by the left post. River Plate's Prospero Urtsua suffered a concussion after 56 minutes and had to leave the field. In the 57th minute, Bernardo Paio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fortineros's Danilo Odilon proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Fortineros from getting a goal against them. Severo Jurgi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentin Chesus having to interfere. Valentin Chesus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severo Jurgi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 74th minute, Severo Jurgi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 76th minute Leonel Nisio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentin Chesus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leonel Nisio in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Valentin Chesus saved River Plate from getting behind. 85 minutes into the match, River Plate's Segundo Licerio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Danilo Odilon narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Segundo Licerio in the 88thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Danilo Odilon, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Valentin Chesus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernardo Paio, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Leonel Nisio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Valentin Chesus having to make a save. River Plate's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
