The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Valentin Chesus showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severo Karlo in the 8th minute of the match. Gualterio Estevon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abel Gaspard, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Valentin Chesus came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Rotycks FC's Severo Karlo. But to his dismay, Severo Karlo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When Erasmo Kinsen fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored River Plate's protests and gave Erasmo Kinsen a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Rotycks FC booed when River Plate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erasmo Kinsen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute of the match Carolo Bernat sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Valentin Chesus skillfully saved the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abel Gaspard in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gualterio Estevon saved Rotycks FC from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Severo Karlo in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Valentin Chesus saved River Plate from getting behind. 37 minutes into the game, Enrique Ramos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rotycks FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave River Plate the free kick. The supporters of River Plate booed when Rotycks FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enrique Ramos didn't get a good kick on the ball. 39 minutes into the match, River Plate's Nicolas Piorno broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 41st match minute, Rotycks FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enrique Ramos to maneuver through the defense. If Abel Gaspard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Abel Gaspard came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the River Plate fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abel Gaspard couldn't finish the play. The River Plate players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Rotycks FC were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abel Gaspard to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Gaspard in the 53rd minute of play forced Rotycks FC's goalkeeper Gualterio Estevon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 0-2 became the score in the 56th minute when Severo Karlo elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 63rd minute Abel Gaspard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gualterio Estevon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Segundo Licerio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Segundo Licerio's late challenge caught a Rotycks FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Segundo Licerio helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to River Plate getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Segundo Licerio hit a great ball. Abel Gaspard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 72nd minute of the game. One of Rotycks FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of River Plate:s goal. In the 74th minute there was a penalty for River Plate. Nicolas Piorno stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gualterio Estevon. 1-2. Rotycks FC's Gualterio Estevon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Segundo Licerio in the 78th minute of play. Severo Karlo was extremely unlucky when he, in the 84th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Gualterio Estevon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Segundo Licerio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abel Gaspard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Gualterio Estevon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
