Spectators: 7206 (Terracing: 5406, Seating: 1657, VIP seats: 143) Tandil's Timoteo Abechuco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Chaime in the 6th minute of play. Angelino Pedroso's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 8thth minute, Timoteo Abechuco skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Mauro Calvet took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Damian Aguirre. Damian Aguirre dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After some careless play in the Tandil defense, Angelino Pedroso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Timoteo Abechuco. The Tandil fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Timoteo Abechuco should have stopped the shot. When Angelino Pedroso came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the La tricolor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Angelino Pedroso couldn't finish the play. Paulino Oso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Damian Aguirre having to interfere. After 26 played minutes La tricolor got a freekick which was hit by Augusto Gartzea. If Gualterio Rocendo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Angelino Pedroso got free with Timoteo Abechuco in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tandil's Mauro Calvet got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Edelmiro Jaunti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Damian Aguirre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelino Pedroso in the 62nd minute of play forced Tandil's goalkeeper Timoteo Abechuco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mariano Chaime fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Timoteo Abechuco having to interfere. In the 66th minute Angelino Pedroso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Timoteo Abechuco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gualterio Rocendo kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. 70 minutes into the game, Rosendo Lazcano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Damian Aguirre was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 73rd minute, Julio Reno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Damian Aguirre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edelmiro Jaunti in the 82nd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gualterio Rocendo got free with Damian Aguirre in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 88 minutes into the match, Rosendo Lazcano dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Damian Aguirre, 1-3. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rosendo Lazcano got free with Damian Aguirre in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Tandil supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Tandil would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
