Spectators: 7022 (Terracing: 5397, Seating: 1575, VIP seats: 50) Jáuregui's Rosendo Rudolfo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the game, Enrique Pierres was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jáuregui's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tronco Juniors the free kick. 3 minutes into the game, one of Jáuregui:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After a defensive mix-up in Tronco Juniors's zone, Rosendo Rudolfo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvio Policarpio came out of the goal and Rosendo Rudolfo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Silvio Policarpio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Hever, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Moises Harriet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Astor Arixo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elpidio Lazcano in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Astor Arixo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Elpidio Lazcano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Cosme Ishmael managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jáuregui's supporters rose to their feet, but Cosme Ishmael was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silvio Policarpio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Jáuregui's zone, Moises Harriet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Astor Arixo came out of the goal and Moises Harriet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Astor Arixo was a little too slow when Elpidio Lazcano got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 46th minute. The score was now 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Miguel Hever sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Moises Harriet's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Astor Arixo was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. In the 57th minute Rosendo Rudolfo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvio Policarpio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Astor Arixo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elpidio Lazcano in the 63rd minute of the match. Miguel Hever received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Silvio Policarpio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Miguel Hever recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 73 played minutes Tronco Juniors got a freekick which was hit by Juan Taurino. Guaberto Vito, 74 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Tronco Juniors's zone, Rosendo Rudolfo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvio Policarpio came out of the goal and Rosendo Rudolfo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Tronco Juniors's Benjamin Piorno got a free kick in the 77th minute. Rosendo Rudolfo might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Silvio Policarpio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rosendo Rudolfo ran back to his position shaking his head. Moises Harriet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Astor Arixo having to interfere. Elpidio Lazcano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Astor Arixo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moises Harriet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rosendo Rudolfo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 96th minute, Miguel Hever got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Jáuregui players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Tronco Juniors.
