The referee showed Gervasio Giro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Astor Arixo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Higinio Azubeli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29th minute, Higinio Azubeli ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Astor Arixo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Cosme Ishmael hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Astor Arixo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Higinio Azubeli, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. When Celso Solustiano came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Darthes FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celso Solustiano couldn't finish the play.

The wind increased when Rosendo Rudolfo made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Jáuregui's zone, Higinio Azubeli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Astor Arixo came out of the goal and Higinio Azubeli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 54 minutes, Higinio Azubeli took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Astor Arixo to make any attempt to save it. The supporters of Darthes FC booed when Jáuregui was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cosme Ishmael didn't get a good kick on the ball. Higinio Azubeli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Astor Arixo having to interfere. 68 minutes into the match, Jáuregui's goalkeeper Astor Arixo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nereo Gombal. After a defensive mix-up in Jáuregui's zone, Higinio Azubeli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Astor Arixo came out of the goal and Higinio Azubeli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Nereo Gombal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that Rosendo Rudolfo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bonifacio Umea was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. The crowd rose to their feet as Darthes FC's Higinio Azubeli slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Astor Arixo. That made the score 0-4 after 77 minutes of play. After some careless play in the Jáuregui defense, Nereo Gombal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Astor Arixo. The Jáuregui fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Astor Arixo should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Darthes FC's Eloy Goito got a free kick in the 93rd minute. When the match was over Darthes FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Jáuregui throughout the match.
