Marcial Dimas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Camilo Itzaina read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. In the 21st minute Saul Petri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camilo Itzaina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Camilo Itzaina showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcial Dimas, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcial Dimas in the 30th minute of play forced Racing club FC's goalkeeper Camilo Itzaina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Saul Petri might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Camilo Itzaina. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Saul Petri ran back to his position shaking his head. Camilo Itzaina showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcial Dimas, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After 42 minutes of play, AkiCosquin's Marcial Dimas made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Camilo Itzaina was left in no man's land by his defense there! Eloy Aresti hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After the first half AkiCosquin were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Aquiles Ipar took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Augusto Bautista. Augusto Bautista dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. AkiCosquin's Saul Petri got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Saul Petri managed to get in a good position for a shot. AkiCosquin's supporters rose to their feet, but Saul Petri was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Camilo Itzaina breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Saul Petri came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the AkiCosquin fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Saul Petri couldn't finish the play. If Marcial Dimas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saul Petri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Camilo Itzaina tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 78 minutes into the match, Aquiles Ipar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Augusto Bautista. AkiCosquin's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aquiles Ipar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. After having played for 84 minutes, Saul Petri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AkiCosquin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Saul Petri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 86th match minute, AkiCosquin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eloy Aresti to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Racing club FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while AkiCosquin had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
