Guillermo Basajaun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Genaro Pello showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolas Millrick, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cornelio Colon got free with Genaro Pello in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guillermo Basajaun in the 32nd minute of play forced Bosteros's goalkeeper Maximino Min to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maximino Min showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flavio Lauaxeta, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After 40 minutes, Eduardo Firmo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bosteros and the Sabinistas FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Sabinistas FC booed when Bosteros was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduardo Firmo didn't get a good kick on the ball. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 61 minutes into the match, Cornelio Colon had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Genaro Pello. Sabinistas FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cornelio Colon was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 67th minute, Guillermo Basajaun got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Flavio Lauaxeta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th match minute, Bosteros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduardo Firmo to maneuver through the defense. With 83 minutes on the clock, Damaso Banegas commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card.
