Islas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Real Madrid C.F. the free kick. After a rather tough play, Islas's Remigio Lartaun got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Ciriaco Ikatz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remigio Lartaun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Delmar Garci showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eulalio Velasco in the 27th minute of the match. Islas's Justo George suffered a sore thigh after 30 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Inocencio Guipuzkoa's late challenge caught a Islas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Inocencio Guipuzkoa helped the player get up and apologised. Inocencio Guipuzkoa hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. An unexpected shot in the 32nd minute by Saverio Frans got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Real Madrid C.F.'s Ciriaco Ikatz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Real Madrid C.F. from getting a goal against them. 34 minutes into the game, Rodrigo Eztebe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Real Madrid C.F.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Islas the free kick. Rodrigo Eztebe hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Saverio Frans managed to get in a good position for a shot. Islas's supporters rose to their feet, but Saverio Frans was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ciriaco Ikatz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Venancio Txatxu during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Islas booed when Real Madrid C.F. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Venancio Txatxu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 45th minute of the game, Leopoldo Patrido landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. During the 45th minute of the match Venancio Txatxu completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Venancio Txatxu a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 47th minute, Venancio Txatxu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Andres Sabin was the one to do the kick off. Ciriaco Ikatz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Saverio Frans, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Andres Sabin kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Eulalio Velasco kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Delmar Garci. That made the score 0-2 in the 83 minute of play. If Andres Sabin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Real Madrid C.F. walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
